Kompas Hotel Aalborg was originally a seamen’s home. Now it is a newly renovated modern hotel located just a few minutes’ walk from the Centre of Aalborg, close to the Limfjord with easy access to the waterfront, and many possibilities to sit and enjoy the nice view.
The hotel is a non-profit hotel. All profit goes to charity work, especially for seamen and others within the maritime sector.

FOR THE AIRY - BY PLANE

Beautifully situated in Northern Denmark, Aalborg is well connected in several ways. With an excellent internal air, rail and road network, getting to Aalborg has never been easier.

TRANSPORT – BUS AND CABS

Taxis are outside the terminal and will take you directly to your hotel (+45 9810 1010 - Aalborg Taxi).

BY TRAIN OR BUS

In the city centre you will find Aalborg’s main railway and bus station. From here there are direct routes to many cities across the country. Intercity trains between Copenhagen and Aalborg run multiple times a day.

Nordjyllands Trafikselskab (NT) is the local traffic authority and runs an extensive network of local buses in Aalborg. There are also long distance bus routes that link Aalborg with Copenhagen, Odense, Esbjerg and other major cities in Denmark as well as Europe, please visit Rejseplanen to arrange your travel. BY FERRY

Stenaline, Colorline and Fjord Line offer several connections from Sweden and Norway to Hirtshals (70 km from Aalborg), Frederikshavn (65 km from Aalborg) or Grenå (115 km from Aalborg).

BY CAR

Aalborg has direct highway connections to Copenhagen and Germany. Queues seldom arise and the speed limit is 110/130 km/hour. Several car rental companies are located in Aalborg and other main cities in Denmark, e.g. AVIS, Europcar and Hertz. For route planning you could check Google Maps, Mappy or ViaMichelin
