Opening Reception

Opening reception at AALBORG UNIVERSITY (Rendsburggade 14, 9000 Aalborg - CREATE building) August 21, 2024, at 19:00-21:00

CREATE, which is part of the new Aalborg City Campus, aims to create coherence between the university’s different creative departments. Additionally, the purpose of the building is to become an attractive meeting place for the citizens of Aalborg. Therefore, the building is centered round a grand public atrium, which includes common facilities like exhibition areas, auditoriums, and a canteen.

An important part of the building is its large, south-facing courtyard with expansive glass panels, which lend a transparent expression of the building, and thereby create a visual connection between internal and external activities. The courtyard is designed to become an entirely new city space, where concerts, open-air cinemas, theatre and exhibitions can take place.

The building is designed by Henning Larsen Architects in collaboration with A. Enggaard.
Inauguration of the new waterfront campus was held in September 2014.

We are delighted to offer all participants welcome to the city of Aalborg at this standing reception while looking at the beautiful view of the Limfjord.
Appetizers (snacks) and beverages will be served.

The Conference dinner for MOBILITIES CONTROVERSIES will be held at AALBORG STREETFOOD, which has undergone a transformation in the last few years and has become a popular cultural institution for both Aalborg residents and visitors. Here you can experience flavors from all over the world and everyone can explore new food or find their favorite.

The purpose of Aalborg Streetfood in recent years has been to create a cultural gathering place where people meet to have fun and socialize, and tourists can get a taste of the authentic coziness (“hygge”) that North Jutland is known for.

Aalborg Streetfood wants to be an oasis at the Aalborg westly harbourfront, where there is room for everyone. With values such as folksy, element of surprise and diversity, Aalborg Streetfood wants to create an experience that cannot be found anywhere else in the city.
