• The goal of the internship is to give you academic, technical, and other tasks in a business context at a level equivalent to the third semester of the master’s programme.
• An internship module is normally 30 ECTS, but in some cases it may be less, in which case you will be expected to follow a separate course module at AAU.
• The collaboration must last a minimum of three months.
• During the internship, you will be preparing a project report which you are examined on at the end of the semester.

Internship is an integrated part of 3rd semester of the master’s programmes. The projects and courses are planned in a way that gives you an opportunity to do a project-oriented study in an external organization.

Exactly what options you have and what demands are asked of you, is defined in the study curriculum of your programme.

The external organisation you join during your internship may need you to sign on a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA), also called a confidentiality agreement.

An NDA is a form that contains descriptions on what you can or can’t tell your familiy, friends and others about your own work or the work of the company.  

If the company, for instance, develops new services or products that are not yet ready for the public eye, you may be asked to agree not to tell anyone about it.

This is a completely normal standard for many companies.

The company may have its own contract template, but AAU also offers standard agreements for student’s projects.
